Prof. Axel Kleemann, PhD. (Chairman)Prof. Dr. Kleemann, from 1987 until 2000, was a member of the executive board of ASTA Medica AG responsible for R&D, production, technology, and drug safety. He is the author of numerous publications. He was active on the boards of different scientific societies including DIB, Dechema, DPhG, GDCh, and VfA. He is on the supervisory and scientific advisory boards of several fine chemical and biotech companies. |

Prof. Theodor Dingermann, PhD. (Deputy Chairman)Prof. Dingermann is heading the Institute for Pharmaceutical Biology of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt, Germany. He is a perceived and designated expert for biotherapeutics. Currently, Prof. Dingermann is chief editor of several renowned pharmaceutical journals, in the board of professional associations, as well as representative for biotechnology of the state Hessia. |

Michael MotschmannMichael Motschmann is member of the executive board of MIG Verwaltungs AG, Munich, and responsible for investment strategy of the MIG funds. He is managing different venture capital funds, and is board member of several portfolio companies. Until 2007, Mr. Motschmann was Managing Director of Nitrion GmbH, Otterfing, Germany, the market leader in the field of Nitriding Technology and Equipment. Over 25 years in business, Mr. Motschmann started, managed, and successfully sold several international companies in the areas trade, real estate, and metal processing. |

Dr. Aristoteles NastosDr. Nastos has held several positions within the German life science industry focusing on venture financing, most recently at the NRW BANK in Duesseldorf as Investment Manager. Previously he also worked at Peppermint Financial Partners in Berlin concentrating on investments in life sciences and nanotechnologies. His deep scientific background has allowed him the seamless transition from academia to industry and finance. With a Masters of Science in Biology from the Ruhr-University of Bochum and subsequent Research Fellowship at the Dept. for Cell Biology at the University of Essen (PhD) and a Post Doc at the Randal Institute of the King's College in London (UK) as an International Fellow of The Wellcome Trust, he was able to successfully take on the position of Head of the Research Group at the German Diabetes Institute in Düsseldorf. |

Dr. Thomas SchweinsDr. Schweins is a biochemist by training and holds a position as Vice President Marketing & Strategy of QIAGEN. Before Dr. Schweins joined QIAGEN he worked as Principal for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In addition to projects in industrial and consumer goods, he worked as core team member in BCGís global Pharma/Health Care and Corporate Development Practice Areas. Prior to this position, Dr. Schweins worked in various functions at Hoechst AG, and Aventis SA. |

Gerhard SteinkampMr. Steinkamp is the Managing Director of S-Venture Capital Dortmund GmbH. Together with Westdeutsche Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaft (West-German Capital Participation Company) and Westdeutsche Landesbank, he initiated the foundation of S-Venture Capital Dortmund GmbH and has run its business since its inception. |
