LC-ESI-MS is a hyphenated mass spectrometry technique that combines the resolving power of HPLC separation with high mass accuracy of a mass spectrometer. As such, it is useful for the determination of intact protein mass or the in-depth analysis of protein or peptide mixtures. Coupling to a HPLC allows quantifying the detected features either by UV or by the MS signal intensity.
At Protagen AG, a high-resolution time-of-fight ESI-TOF and a very fast quadrupole ion trap can be used for analysis.
For the analysis of the LC-ESI-MS/MS data sets, Protagen has developed algorithms that allow getting more information out of the mass spectra.
At Protagen AG, LC-ESI-MS can be employed in a wide range of biochemical applications, such as:

Protagen’s protein analysis package is designed to encompass the requirements of ICH guidelines (in particular ICH Q6B).
